One of the things ladies treasure the most is a comfortable undergarment. It really can make or break an outfit just like a bad pair of shoes. Well, guess what ladies? Salina Hernandez has your solution! She has a fabulous boutique called The Bra Box. We sat down and chatted about fashion, trends and The Bra Box!
Describe your lifestyle: My lifestyle is fun, unique and full of unplanned moments. Since my life is busy and rarely on pause, my fashion sense ranges at times from simple “mom” attire to the “ lets get this business going”. I truly love fashion, watching it evolve and how it makes me feel everyday. Regardless of the outfit of the day or the mood, fashion will set the path, so I firmly believe to jazz it up!
Whats in your closet? My time is limited when it comes to getting dressed for the day, so I feel it is important to have a handful of versatile clothing pieces that can easily be dressed up and mix/matched on a daily basis. My personal style would be for the most part relaxed and easy going but trendy. My evening attire tends to be more on the fun side. I tend to still maintain comfort but with a kicked up top and some cute show stopper heels. For me, I have to set a balance for myself to never be uncomfortable in your style and to always be confident and own it!
What inspired you to open The Bra Box Boutique? This question is more of a story. I worked for a mastectomy boutique called Contour Solutions, where I was a certified bra fitter. After several years of fitting, I began to notice our clientele was increasing due to the fact we were considered a “speciality” shop. Women were in hopes of finding sizes they could not find in the big box retail stores. It was apparent that our growing city needed a boutique just for our amazing women where they could find a bra of their needs and not just a “size”.
What can women expect from The Bra Box? We are very passionate about our business and it is an art to us. Each woman is offered a personalized private fitting, a one-on-on bra chat regarding their bra size and preferred bra styles…then the fun part begins – finding the right piece for them that will be instantly life changing!
What is your favorite fashion trend? Anything floral print, over the shoulder top that allows a relaxed look or can be dressed up and of course always some stunning sun glasses!
Least favorite fashion trend: I really tend to like everything. If I had to choose one, I would say baggy clothes…those that make someone look frumpy. Loose fitted clothes are some of my personal favs but we have to rock them in a way that we can embrace our silhouette.
Who is someone that has inspired you? Jennifer Lopez. She always seems to rock anything even those stunning “mom” jeans! Fashion can be simple or eclectic and she pulls it off everytime.
Favorite Fashion Tip: Always start with an amazing and supportive foundation piece, such as your undergarment, and your attire will be that much more gorgeous.
