Of all the sports in modern rodeo, only bull riging has an added "Xtreme" version--as if trying to stay on top of a ton of rip-snorting, bucking bull isn't extreme enough by itself.

What drives a man to match himself against a living, breathing, bucking machine, with deadly hooves and horns? To some, it's the thrill factor. To others, it's "just another day at the office."

With the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo just around the corner, Susan Yerkes talked to a few of the men who have met and mastered hundreds of bulls, and lived to tell the tale.
