Mad Science
Somewhere in San Antonio, a group of scientists have discovered something that just might be the fountain of youth--a miracle potion that could one day be used to slow aging and cure Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Others are sprinkling a magical "pixie dust" over injured war veterans during surgery to help their bodies regenerate lost organs, while another group of white-coated men and women are conjuring up new elixirs that would eliminate the body's production of pain sensations. And still others are studying drugs and chimpanzees to rid the world of hepatitis C. As fantastic as it all may sound, this work is real and happing right now in San Antonio. Please subscribe to Scene in S.A. today! |
